I’ve spent over 20 years on the pool deck, coaching swimmers of all ages and levels across high school teams, club programs, and summer leagues. My love for swimming started long before I became a coach, growing up in Utah where summer league meets, early mornings, and team camaraderie created some of my favorite memories. Those experiences shaped the way I approach coaching today.

Since 2018, I’ve been proud to coach with the Gators, where I’ve had the chance to work closely with athletes as they develop both in and out of the water. What I enjoy most is helping swimmers see what they’re capable of. There’s something special about watching a swimmer hit a goal they once thought was out of reach, whether that’s dropping time, mastering a new skill like diving, or simply gaining confidence.

For me, coaching has always been about more than just technique and results. It’s about creating an environment where kids feel supported, challenged, and excited to grow. Swimming has given me so much over the years, and I’m grateful to pass that on to the next generation of Gators!

From first-time swimmers to competitive athletes, I emphasize technique, discipline, and water safety. I push my swimmers to be the best they can be while keeping sessions fun, engaging, and productive.

• Hi! I’m Peyton and I’ve been a Greenbrook coach for 5 years now, but I’ve been swimming for 16 years. I’m a Junior at Vanguard University in my 1st year of nursing school. I became a coach because of my love for swimming and the coaches who inspired me growing up. Working with this team has brought me nothing but joy and amazing memories and I hope I can be a fraction of the reason kids love this sport! I cannot wait to help your swimmers grow in their swimming skills, improve their times, and most importantly have fun!

• Aloha, I'm coach Megan! I joined the Greenbrook Gators as a coach in September 2025 and have loved every second of it! Before Greenbrook I swam for and coached the Crestwood Gators in Sandy, UT so I am a gator through and through! I swam all through high school in Utah and lived in Hawaii for 7 years where I competed in long distance ocean races including a 9-mile swim on Oahu's North Shore. I love coaching, helping swimmers achieve their goals, and being part of the best team in the OC!

• Hi everyone! My name is Shelby and I am currently a sophomore at Fountain Valley High School. I have been a Gator since I was 6 years old and this will be my first year coaching! I became a coach because I enjoy helping others improve in things they love and because of the amazing coaches I had growing up on the team. It's always so amazing to see the kids faces light up when they hop out of the pool after practice or a race. I hope to watch all these young swimmers evolve into amazing people and improve their swim skills over the years!

• Hi! I’m Lyla and I'm a junior at Edison High School. I grew up swimming and loved it. I did Huntington beach city jr lifeguards for many years and now I work as an instructor at the dunes and occasionally a private lifeguard. I’m excited for my first year with Greenbrook!

• Hi, I’m Reese! This will be my fifth year coaching at Greenbrook, and I am currently in my second year at UCLA studying civil engineering. I was inspired to coach because I grew up on the team, and spending time with this community has always been a highlight of my summers. I love seeing how much the Gators support each other and continue to grow as people and swimmers throughout the season!
