Gator Alert: Green and Gold Meet Tomorrow

Gator Families,

Tomorrow is the big day, our first swim meet in two years!  Although it will look different, it will be exciting and fun to see our swimmers compete again, and many for the first time as Gators!

A few last things to keep in mind as we prepare for our meet:

  • Please see the attached heat sheet which will show the events, heats, and lanes your swimmers are in.  This is subject to change based on deck changes - as always, we strongly recommend using your SwimTopia app.  You can see your swimmers assignments mid week, as soon as the coaches finish seeding.  With the pro version, you can see much more including results!
  • Remember the following time for your session - please be on time.  Coaches will build in rest and reminders between races for each age group:
    • 5-6 and 7-8 girls:
      • 8:15 am arrival, 8:45 - 9:45 am session time
    • 5-6 and 7-8 boys:
      • 9:45 am arrival, 10:15 - 11:15 am session time
    • 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18 girls:
      • 11:00 am arrival, 11:30 - 1:00 pm session time
    • 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18 boys:
      • 1:00 pm arrival, 1:30 - 3:00 pm session time
  • Please remember the order of events are different this year due to the age group and gender separations - see the attachment for the actual order of events!  You may get notifications in your app about an upcoming swim that is not accurate due to this.  You can disable those notifications.
  • Get the SwimTopia App!  You can always see what event/heat is in the water, what your swimmer is swimming, and their results once available.
  • Please visit our snack bar - this is our only fundraiser this season and is very important to the team. We will have limited items, but will be serving  both breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks and drinks.  Anything helps our team, 100% of proceeds go to our program!
  • Unfortunately, we will not be able to live stream our first few meets due to bandwidth limitations at the clubhouse.  We are actively working with the HOA and hope to provide this in the future.  Please cheer your swimmers on from either side of the pool outside the pool gates, and be respectful to not block the view from others unless your swimmer is in the water.

If you have any questions please let us know!  If you are scheduled to work, please be on time for check in and your shift.  Our meet will be delayed and stopped unless we have enough workers in the jobs we have listed.

Thank you,

Brandon and Stephen
