Gator Alert: July Meet Information

June 30th

Gator Families,

Thank you for your ongoing patience as we worked with the league and several other teams to identify what July will look like. I know we have all appreciated the short swim meet sessions in June, while at the same time missing so much of the fun and excitement that comes with competing against other teams, doing relays, and experiencing the fun our kids have playing together between races!

As we enter July, we begin returning to a more normalized meet schedule. Please read below for important information regarding each meet, as there are some differences!

July 10 - At Newport Hills (1899 Port Carlow Place, Newport Beach, CA)

This meet will be swam with TWO sessions:
- 9 and up will be in the morning session, with warmup at 8:15 and the meet starting at 9:00, ending at approx. 11:30
- 8 and under will be in the afternoon session, with warmup starting at 12:15 and the meet starting at 1:00 pm
- Relays are TBD and will be confirmed the week of the meet.

Parents will be allowed on deck; pop ups will be allowed in the grass area!

July 17 - At Pacific Sands (8141 Atlanta Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA)

This meet will be swam as a NORMAL meet with a single session
- Warm up will begin at 8 am, with the meet at 9 am for all ages!
- Relays will take place - which means up to four swims instead of three!
- A normal meet runs from 9 am until approx. 2 pm
- Parents will be allowed on deck; pop ups will be allowed in the parking lot area (there is no grass area at this pool, the parking lot is closed and reserved for pop ups only)!
- Much more information will be provided as this meet comes closer!

July 24 - Home meet vs. Harbor View

This meet will be swam as a NORMAL meet with a single session
- Warm up times will be provided in advance; the meet begins 9 am for all ages!
- Relays will take place - which means up to four swims instead of three!
- A normal meet runs from 9 am until approx. 2 pm
- Parents will be allowed on deck; pop ups will be allowed in grass area!
- Much more information will be provided as this meet comes closer!

Jobs for these meets will open tomorrow, Thursday July 1st at 7:00 am. We cannot do these meets without you and have are so grateful for the many families who have stepped up to do any job needed at the last minute. Please sign up for any available spot you see - we are running these meets as thin as we can, thank you for stepping up!! You will be trained for any job you sign up for, so do not be concerned about lack of experience!
